"Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign generated over Rs. 500 crore business, over 30 crore flags sold

In the past years on the occasion of Independence Day, the annual sale of the tricolour was restricted to around Rs 150-200 crore. However, the Har Ghar Tiranga movement has increased the sale manifold.
According to CAIT, the increase in demand is also related to the government’s decision to make the tricolour campaign a part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of businesses. The demand for flags generally used to be around Republic Day (January 26), Independence Day (August 15), and Gandhi Jayanti (October 2), but in the last two years due to pandemic, the national festivals did not take place on a large scale, due to this flag manufacturers were in loss but this year's campaign boosted their sale.
