Beggars of Muzaffarpur in Bihar have opened a unique 'bank'. In this bank beggars deposit the money they got in begging. These beggars get interest on the deposited amount, and if need be, loans are also given to these beggars. Apart from the beggars, there are people who are financially weak in this bank. In which people who run handcarts and rickshaws are included. 175 beggars have formed five separate self-help groups. These five different groups sit at a fixed place every Sunday and plan ahead.
